These slides show a wedding on Sikaiana. The wedding took place in St. Andrew’s Church. The wedding party is led in by the cathecist, at that time Reuben Tenai, and then the marriage ceremony is performed by the priest, at that time Alan Piva. The white stuff on the wedding party is talcum powder which is used as a cosmetic at most parties and festive gatherings.
